Darlene Basch, LCSW, BCD is a body psychotherapist and public speaker who has successfully helped hundreds of people overcome daily anxiety, panic attacks and countless personal challenges. She assists parents, families, teens, and children in improving relationships, addressing school problems, divorce issues, and coping with everyday life.

Integrating traditional and alternative healing methods, clients gain powerful mental health techniques that can be utilized anywhere, anytime, producing immediate beneficial results. She developed Transformation Therapy, which integrates interactive discussion, experiential exercises, body psychotherapy and spirituality.

Darlene has been counseling, lecturing and teaching workshops on overcoming anxiety and panic attacks, parenting, stress management, sexual abuse, addictions, eating disorders, post-traumatic stress, meditation, relationships, spirituality, and Holocaust issues in private practice and in seminars for more than 25 years.

Darlene worked for Steven Spielberg’s Survivors of the Shoah Visual History Foundation where she developed and facilitated a worldwide debriefing program that trained people to interview survivors of the Holocaust, and traveled around the world training those interviewers. She maintains wide-ranging contacts in the United States, Israel, former Soviet Union, Europe, South America, Australia and Canada.

The daughter of a Holocaust survivor of several death camps, Darlene founded Generation-to-Generation in San Francisco, and was a founding Board member of the Northern California Holocaust Resource Center. She was a lead organizer of the Second-Generation program at the World Gathering of Holocaust Survivors in Israel. Darlene was the Event Chair of Chicago2002 Living the Legacy—an international gathering of descendants of the Shoah and their families.
